Availability information for this program
A traveling book is authored by the student and his or her peers, sometimes with input from parents. The book is then circulated to students' homes and brought back to the classroom. Several traveling books can circulate during a school year. At the end of the year each child's work is taken from the traveling books and compiled into a separate "portfolio-type" year-end book for the child to keep.
