This fascinating program explores the smallest, but most important units of life – cells. It begins by highlighting the cell theory, including the important discoveries that led to its development. Common cell parts are illustrated through lifelike animations, as are different types of cells, including prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The video also explores essential cell activities, such as energy conversion and reproduction. Additional concepts and terminology: building blocks of life, animal cell, cell membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm, plant cell, photosynthesis, cell wall, chloroplasts, organelles, and role of cells in the body.
